Jonathan E. Matalon, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
A graduate of the USC School of Business and a CPA, Jonathan Matalon
brings over 35 years of progressively responsible experience in both
public accounting and the financial services industry. For the past 5
years, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
for California General Bank, N.A. in Pasadena. While there he served as
the Corporate Secretary and was an active participant of the ALCO,
Audit, Technology, Business Continuity, and Loan Committees.
For the 5 years prior to California General Bank, N.A., he served as
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Professional
Business Bank. While at ProBizBank he also functioned as the Corporate
Secretary and was an active participant of the ALCO, Audit, Technology,
Marketing, Business Continuity, and Loan Committees.
For the 10 years prior to ProBizBank, he served as Senior Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer-Cashier for First State Bank of Southern
California. While at First State he also functioned as the Corporate
Secretary and was an active participant of the ALCO, Audit, Compliance,
Loan and Y2K Committees.
Prior to First State, Mr. Matalon served in Financial Management positions at a Fortune 100 company, a $6 billion Savings and Loan, and Real Estate Development companies. Mr. Matalon’s diversified career gives him the balanced perspective critical to effectively interacting with the community, vendors, regulators and external auditors, and to successfully take-on the challenges ahead.
